Meredith and I were doing some research on the internet, and as it turns out children can be quite a handful (some of them requiring you be around them several hours a day to make sure they eat and stuff).  In light of this, we decided it would make a lot of sense that we use the last few days of our holiday break to get some work done on the nursery. 

What seemed like a project that would take a half day, maybe all the way to dinner time, turned out to be backbreaking work that took the majority of three full days to complete.  The main issue was a built-in cabinet that was added to the nursery many years ago, presumably as a replacement for the actual closet which had been turned into a half bath.  It was much harder to remove the cabinet than I had anticipated (though, sadly, I never had to resort to using the sledgehammer that I bought for the job), and there was a lot of damage to the plaster walls than I had hoped, so all of that took time.
