Last week while I was away in Phoenix for my marathon, Meredith surprised me by having the crib delivered and assembled.  I was particularly happy for two reasons: 1) I was just excited to have the crib because getting any new baby stuff is really fun, and 2) this means I didn’t have to put it together.

Anyway, we really like it a lot as it is just modern enough to fit in with our style of furniture, but not so modern that we look like a couple of freaks who are already grooming our kid to be an architect of psychiatrist (I hope, at least).

We still need to get the mattress and sheet sets, obviously, and some art, toys, clothes, diapers, bottles, nipples, burp cloths, blankets, baby monitor, pet gate, stroller, a changing pad, etc., but slowly but surely this whole parenting situation is really starting to come together.
